The Spokane Folklore Society hosts contra dances on first and third Wednesdays of every month through June. On Wednesday May 1st, caller Nora Scott will teach easy to learn dances. Dog Paw will play old time fiddle tunes. Held at the Woman's Club Hall on the South Hill of Spokane, the dance begins at 7:15 PM with newcomer session followed by a two hour dance starting at 7:30PM. All are welcome to join this fun community. Come by yourself or with a friend. Wear casual clothes. General admission is $10; SFS members and students - $7; kids under 18 free. At the gate.
