The Spokane Folklore Society will host a Irish ceili and contra dance on Saturday April 13 at the East Spokane Grange, 1621 N. Park. Harran Irish dance teacher Caitlin Trusler will teach easy to learn Irish social dances like reels and square sets. Penn Fix will call some contras as well. Here is a great opportunity to learn dances found in community halls and bars across Ireland. Banna Damsha will play Irish jigs and reels. The dance begins at 7PM. Everyone is welcome. General admission is $10; SFS members and students $7; under 18 free.
