The Saint John’s Bible Exhibit – Starting Sunday, January 29, St. Mark’s is hosting a reproduction of a full-sized Gospel and Acts volume of The Saint John’s Bible. We will also display 10 prints selected from its 160 major illuminations. The Saint John’s Bible is the first handwritten, illuminated Bible commissioned by a Benedictine Abbey in over 500 years. Its handwritten lettering and stunning artwork present the Word of God in a truly engaging way. Our Lutheran tradition has a high regard for scripture and how the Holy Spirit uses this source to inspire our callings.
Special hours for viewing the bible and illuminations are:
Mondays, January 30, Feb. 6 & 13 from 12:00 - 3:00 pm and
Wednesdays, February 1, 8, 15 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm
