The All-Banter Episode

  Tony and Kevin discover that the whole “Men in Charge" cast has failed to show up to record. Happily, they later find that they were mistaken, and that the cast has been imprisoned by their tyrannical boss, Astrid Smythe-Merriweather. Hip and improvisational, Kevin and Tony quickly and brilliantly recover by: reading phone numbers from the local telephone directory; airing more sponsor announcements than usual; introducing a new segment, “Time Fillers”; calling out “listeners like you” and showing you Kevin’s favorite ways to slice an onion; jocular features of animals are given and listeners are invited to take part in high-stakes radio quizzes to regain their dignity; Tony provides a generic punishment statement for all listeners to use with those who’ve wronged them.
