Men in Charge Season 11, Episode 22: Let's Flee in Panic, Soon!

This episode’s relaxed sense of emergency carries us soon to an account of how Kevin was wedged between sandbags during a flood as a 9-year-old, while Tony, unaccountably, wasn’t. Then, it’s on to "Jack Shambles: Man-child of Mystery 3!" Jack, still 37 and useless, persists in his efforts as an apprentice to a locksmith, who then drives off, leaving Jack to be arrested so that he can have some lunch? But does he? Have lunch? Next comes a commercial for Glass. If there were no glass, the winter wind would just rush through your car, and then where would you be? After that comes yet another commercial, this one for “Grandpa’s Landscaping,” for when you don’t expect anything much to get done. And then at last, “Aidan and Largo Retire.” Our favorite under-employed Mafia goons are trying to retire on the beach to yell at kids, but Mrs. Giuliani and Ginny try to pull our guys back in for, you guessed it, One Last Job. Is death the only way out? Or will they simply flee in panic, soon?

Tony Flinn, known around the model railroad track in his basement as “Professor of English, Emeritus,” recently retired from Eastern Washington University to age in place, like an old car up on blocks in the barn, convenient for climbing behind the wheel and saying “Vroom! Vroom!” He and his co-host and co-producer, Kevin Decker, have been writing and performing in “Men in Charge” since probably 2014, or even earlier, depending on whether you’re using the Julian or Gregorian calendar.
Kevin Decker, Professor of Philosophy, was left holding the bag when Tony Flinn recently retired from Eastern Washington University. That bag was full of cats. At first, he thought they were cute, but then they woke up and started mauling him. It turned out that the cats were mountain lion cubs, often referred to incorrectly as “cougars.” One had rabies. From his now-permanent hospital bed, Kevin writes for and co-produces “Men in Charge,” the title of which may or may not be ironic
