Apr. 13, 2023: South Pacific, I Sing the Salmon Home, GA-20

On TA(P): Stephanie Frost, Henry Thrasher, Michael Todd, Rena Priest and Matt Stubbs

This week's episode of the Thursday Arts (P)review — where the "p" is parenthetical because we look both forward and back — features the following:

  • Actors Stephanie Frost, Henry Thrasher and Michael Todd from the new production of South Pacific at the Regional Theater of the Palouse in Pullman, WA. The Rodgers and Hammerstein musical is the final show in the theater's 2022-23 season. It opens tonight (April 13) and runs until April 23.
  • Washington State Poet Laureate Rena Priest. She offers some background on the new poetry anthology I Sing the Salmon Home, which features work by poets from across the state.
  • Matt Stubbs, guitarist and co-founder of the Chicago-style blues band GA-20. He talks about the band's raw sound and early success ahead of their gig at the Lucky You Lounge on Friday, April 14.

The Thursday Arts (P)review airs every Thursday at 12pm on KPBX with a roundup of arts-related news and information from across the Inland Northwest.
