Louis Comfort Tiffany: Treasures from the Driehaus Collection

A celebration of beauty, this exhibition brings more than 60 objects, spanning 30 years of Louis Comfort Tiffany's career. He was one of the most innovative American artists of the 19th century for the way he elevated everyday objects--furniture, vases, lamps--into works of art. This exhibition focuses on Tiffany's magnificent stained glass windows, floral vases, lamps and decorative accessories from Chicago's distinguished Richard H. Driehaus Collection. Tiffany's technical brilliance in a wide variety of media enabled him to convey his awe of the natural world through a wide range of objects. His work was popular in his lifetime, and continues to be highly sought after today due to its unparalleled quality and beauty.
