For the month of October, the Liberty Gallery features the extraordinary craftsmanship and vision of Dave Gonzo in a show titled “Gaia’s Beauty”. This exhibition showcases Dave's innovative approach to metal work, where different alloys are manipulated into creative and stunning, three-dimensional sculptures that resemble the beauty of which Mother Earth (Gaia) births. Each piece invites visual exploration, revealing a variety of metals and delicate details within the unique world of inorganic elements melded with the breathtaking forms of nature.
Stop by the Liberty Gallery in the Historic Liberty Building this October to see Dave's work ~ the First Friday Reception to Meet the Artists is October 3 from 5-8:30pm.

This interactive installation features poetry from people on their healing journey after domestic violence paired with artwork by local artists. At each of the 15 stations that are displayed along a scenic walking path, you’ll find conversation prompts designed to spark meaningful dialogue about what healthy and unhealthy relationships can look like.
We hope you engage friends and family in this rewarding experience any time this October in Riverfront Park. Take a walk, start a conversation, and see what happens.
Attend the third year of this staple regional event, which brings together the Spokane community to discuss important transportation topics. Join transportation professionals, government officials, members of the business community, and more to learn about how we can work together to continually improve our regional transportation system. Breakfast will be served while attendees listen to a keynote presentation, followed by a panel of local leaders. There is 30 minutes of additional networking time that will follow after the event.
This year will be especially exciting as we dive into the data of where our regional transportation system is projected to head. Get a preview of the content by reading the Horizon 2050 draft plan when it is released in September.
Sponsorship opportunities are still available. Learn about past iterations of the Summit at https://srtc.org/engage-with-us/annual-transportation-summit/.

All are Welcome! Come the First and Third Tuesdays at 6pm. We are focusing on Sri Easwaran's form of passage meditation and his 8-Point Program for daily living, currently meeting at the Spokane Buddhist Temple. This form of meditation fits with any spiritual path. Passage meditation was designed specifically for the Western “monkey mind.” It is a very disciplined approach to slowing down and focusing. It is difficult, but very rewarding! We are currently studying Sri Easwaran’s book "Passage Meditation". Questions, call Lou Ann at (509) 590-3512
