Last year, Vytal Movement Dance, a non-profit 501c-3 arts organization, hosted our 2nd annual fundraising event, Illuminate: A Dance Gala where we raised over $12,000 to increase access to professional dance and dance education in the Inland Northwest. After an incredible show of support at our first two galas, we are thrilled to be hosting our third annual event. We are aiming high and hoping to raise a significant amount of funds to further our mission. This year’s Illuminate: A Dance Gala will be held in our home space in downtown Spokane on the evening of November 1, 2025. The night will include dinner, drinks, live dance performance, a virtual silent auction, live auction, paddle raise, and more!
All funds raised during this elegant event and will be used to foster the creation, experimentation, and development of dance education, performance opportunities, and new artistic projects. Additionally, contributions from the night allow Vytal Movement Dance to collaborate with guest choreographers, performers, musicians, and other artists and to present concert dance to our Inland Northwest audiences on a larger scale and more frequent basis. Your attendance, participation, and generosity directly contribute to and propel the growth of the arts in our community!
If you'd like to learn more about our organization, sponsorship, providing a live or silent auction item, or attending this event, please visit our website VytalMovement.org or contact giving@vytalmovemnet.org

This talk by Dr. Kyle Shimabuku provides an overview of how an interdisciplinary team of forestry hydrologists, watershed modelers, analytical chemists, and drinking water engineers is tackling this complex issue. By combining watershed water quality modeling, appropriate water treatment techniques, and effective water system management, the team is developing science-based recommendations. These insights aim to guide policymakers, water system managers, and individuals in mitigating health risks from wildfire-induced contamination of drinking water. The goal is to ensure safer, more resilient water supplies in the face of increasing wildfire activity. Register at gonzaga.edu/ClimateEvents.

Did you participate in the First Friday Art Walk but not ready to go home? Are you tired of going to the bar?
Late Laughs is your monthly dose of experimental improv and comedy, happening every First Friday at 9:30 PM. Each show features a rotating lineup of performers from independent troupes to new voices trying something bold and unpredictable. These are not your typical Blue Door shows. Each 20-minute set is a chance for groups to push boundaries, test new formats, and take creative risks… all in front of a late-night crowd that is ready for anything.
Whether you are a night owl looking for laughs or just want something different to do downtown, Late Laughs is your alternative to the usual Friday night.
Tickets just $6.
Come curious. Leave laughing.
