Join us for a hilarious adventure at the Blue Door Theatre! Expedition is a fast, family-friendly improv comedy show where audience ideas fuel wild games, bold characters, and unexpected twists. Every show is made up on the spot—and no two journeys are ever the same.

Our 8-week Intro to Improv course is more than just comedy; it’s an adventure in creativity, connection, and confidence. Whether you are brand-new or brushing up on the basics, you will learn to think on your feet, embrace the unexpected, and turn mistakes into gifts.

Through games, scenes, and plenty of laughter, you will discover how improv can sharpen your listening, unlock your imagination, and help you let go of the inner critic holding you back. No scripts, no pressure. We just offer a welcoming space to play, learn, and surprise yourself.

Dates: January 12 - March 2 (every Monday)
Time: 7:00 - 9:00 PM

This course is a six-week foundational playwriting workshop designed to guide participants through the essential elements of dramatic writing. Meeting once a week for 2 hours in the evening, this hands-on course is ideal for beginning writers as well as artists from other disciplines looking to explore playwriting for the first time. Some writing will be expected outside of the workshop time.

This workshop is open to adults and teens (16+) at all levels of writing experience. No prior playwriting experience is necessary.

Ready to play? Are you ready to WIN?? Too bad! Because in our improvised game show Choose to Lose, in order to win, you have to lose!

Two contestants from the audience will choose the players, decide the games, add challenges, and mix them all together for a wild fusion of comedy and chaos. Unlock hidden games from mysterious folders and see how your choices create the most absurd and funny combinations imaginable.

In a world where bad choices are celebrated and the only way to win is to LOSE. Expect bold humor, outrageous moments, and a night of laugh-out-loud entertainment as our contestants try to get as far in the negative as they possibly can!

This Intro course is being being done in collaboration with and being held at the Theatre Arts Center (TAC) at the Lake in Liberty Lake.

Our introduction to improv course is for everyone! Whether you're an improv veteran looking to get a brush-up on the basics or someone who's never even heard of improv until you came to our site, our introductory course is for you!

This 8-week in-person course is a perfect first step into improv for adults (18+). Play and laugh while facing fears and building confidence in yourself. You may even learn a thing or two about comedy along the way.

Dates: January 17 - March 14 (Saturdays - No class on February 21).

The Fantasticks is a highly stylized production that combines aspects of musical theatre, pageant performance, circus and commedia dell’arte. Funny, tender and irresistibly romantic, this beloved classic follows two star-crossed lovers as they lose each other and ultimately reunite.
