‘Insidious: those tiny things’ is a compelling solo exhibition showcasing new works by Jiemei Lin. This collection of paintings, prints, and installations offer a thought-provoking exploration of the everyday moments that shape our lives and the insidious harm that can result from gender, culture, and societal pressures. Lin's pieces delve into the experiences of women, daughters, little girls, foreigners, and rebels existing within patriarchal systems, bringing to light the subtle yet profound impact of seemingly unnoticeable moments that are often ignored or dismissed. Together, Lin's works offer a powerful commentary on the complex interplay between identity and power. • First Friday Opening: May 3rd, 5-8PM • Show Dates: May 3rd – May 25th.

The instructor has been drawing caricatures professionally for over 30 years, and has learned to draw them both at leisure and under intense time pressure. He’ll draw a caricature of each of the students, and they intern will draw each other and celebrities from the worlds of entertainment, politics, and sports.*Pre-registration is required for Art School classes; classes will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
