Season 8, Episode 19: We're Still Working on it!

In this "episode," Tony and Kevin stretch the limits--beyond the boundaries of good sense--of the strategic use, on the radio, of double quotations. In their "banter," they link the way in which waitpersons frequently hover at the bistro table asking "Are you still working on that?" to the banality of evil. The inevitable union-organizing ensues, and it is "decided" that "we are still working on this episode" (and boy, does it show!) This episode's radio adventures begin with the bold claim, "The app says your name should be Darlene!" Discover the rideshare/quasi-kidnapping service we all could enjoy in "Dangerous Cousins-in-Law!" "Next, ex-beach-mafia goons Aidan and Largo have had enough of captivity in a suburban garage, forced to commit insurance fraud. Mostly unbeknownst to them, they hadn't been in chains for a week and so it is time to decide? It's cul-de-sac larceny or a return to the beach in "Aidan and Largo Decide."" In a "paid public announcement," Alvin Boucher, Vice-President of Midnight Acquisitions at the All-Male Meat Market, touts Bestial Seasonings teas: like tea but meatier! Next, the "Men in Charge" find the "Men in Charge coffers" empty, and agree to an ill-conceived fashion parade to raise a few nickels. "Fashion" is paraded, folding changing screens are toppled, and hilarity ensues. Finally, in a bizarre concession to reality, we feature "public service announcement pros" Livonia and Rodney, who explain how (and "when") you were "Flabbergeisted!" Hey, why not just give it a chance?
