ArtFest

ArtFest

MAC ArtFest, May 31 - June 2, 2024, is Spokane’s largest juried art and fine craft fair. Presented by the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture (MAC), ArtFest has been connecting our community to the world of art and fine craft since 1985.

ArtFest is located on the MAC campus, where it began 39 years ago. The campus offers a beautiful, parklike backdrop with all the charm of the Browne’s Addition historic neighborhood and easy access to the MAC's amenities.

The MAC’s goal continues to be to present the premiere juried fair in Spokane with a focus on art and to provide a marketplace for artists to showcase their work to art lovers throughout the Inland Northwest. For the second year in a row, ArtFest has been voted Best Art Festival by the people of this community via the Inlander, and we intend to honor that distinction and do everything we can to make this year’s festival better than ever. We are committed to supporting artists from our region and showcasing your fine work in a bright, festive atmosphere—one that is treasured by our community and by you, the artists who make this festival possible.

New this year! Admission to ArtFest is $5 per person, children 5 years and under are free. Admission includes everything ArtFest has to offer: 75 art and fine craft booths, an incredible line-up of live, local music daily in the amphitheater, the Make-it Art Kids’ Project center, and an invitation to enjoy the festival’s beer garden (featuring beers from BrickWest Brewing and a selection of Townshend Cellar wines) and eight local-favorite food trucks.

As an added bonus: admission to the museum is included with ArtFest admission. Festivalgoers will have the opportunity to see five locally significant exhibitions including Harold Balazs: Leaving Marks just before it closes on June 2. A special Harold Balazs and Friends booth on the festival grounds will feature works from the famous local artist and from his own private collection, recently donated to the museum by his family. Funds raised will support the MAC’s purchase of the works featured in the Balazs exhibition. This is sure to be a draw for many in this community that Harold called home.

The Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture is a non-profit organization. Proceeds from the event support art education, exhibitions, and community programming for youth and adults at the MAC. All art revenue goes directly to the artists. The new $5 cover charge will offset the operating expenses of staging this beloved community event, including the increased cost for security for guests and artists, and booking the best-known bands in our region to draw more people to the festival.
