Slip Decorating and Mold Making Workshop with J. Casey Doyle
J. Casey Doyle, Professor of Art + Design @uidahoartdesign @uidaho will lead a four hour mold making and slip decorating workshop at Emerge on May 6 from 1–5pm.
Students will be introduced to wide range of molding techniques including: slip casting, press molds, and slump molds. As part of the workshop, participants will be given a slip cast cup to explore slip decoration and will have the opportunity to explore handbuilding a work from a range of molds provided during the workshop.
After the workshop participants will have the opportunity to glaze their slip decorated cup.
