This class takes place a the instructor's studio in Greenbluff.

This is an intro and intermediate level class where students will learn hand-building techniques to create functional forms. The techniques include pinch pots, and slab work using molds, templates and more. Students will learn a variety of interesting ways to embellish their pieces, create designs and alter forms in the clay. Students will also learn design techniques through glaze application.

Drawing is the common denominator of all art. This class is an introduction to the four components of drawing: experience, observation, confidence, and creativity.

Saturday, September 19

1:00-3:00 p.m.

Learn how to work with wire and beads in this intro to jewelry making class! In this course, students will be allowed to pick from a variety of sample jewelry items to recreate and use as inspiration for their work. These projects will include wire wrapping rocks, beading, and basic wire bending techniques. Participants will have a lot of creative freedom and are encouraged to try combining ideas to create lovely earrings, bracelets, or necklaces!

Acrylic paint is the most flexible of all painting media. You can work from light to dark or dark to light, paint rich textures or flat sheets of color, and easily correct any mistake. In this medium, there is no point of no return. We work in layers, mostly dark to light, with an emphasis on smooth and textured gradations of hue, value, and temperature.

Oil is the medium of the old masters. As long ago as the 15th century, artists began exploring its vast possibilities. We cover the “fat over lean” and all prima approaches, along with easy ways to correct errors. The class is for all levels of experience, from beginners to professionals.

Hands on learning intensive Saturday/Sunday classes - Wernick Method Classes teach real bluegrass jamming! If you play guitar, mandolin, banjo, fiddle, bass, or dobro… you can be part of a bluegrass jam. Intro to Jamming session offered Friday 3-6 pm.
