The Friends of the CDA Public Library and the Spokane Folklore Society host a Sunday Matinee Contra Dance on October 11 at the CDA Public Library from 2PM to 4PM. Caller Penn Fix will teach easy to learn dances and Deep Roots with Arvid Lundin will provide rousing fiddle music. No experience is necessary. Singles, partners, and families are welcomed. Casual dress.
This event is free with donations of $5 to $15 encouraged.

The Spokane Folklore Society hosts its 3rd Wednesday of the month contra dance on October 21st at the Woman's Club Hall beginning with a newcomer session at 7:15PM followed by a two hour dance starting at 7:30PM. Karen Wilson Bell and other callers will teach easy to learn dances. The Jam Band consisting of several musicians will play. No experience is necessary. Singles, partners, and families are welcomed. Casual dress. General admission is $10; SFS members and those under 25, $7; under 18, free.
