Join Vytal Movement Dance for Decade, an eclectic performance which simultaneously honors the past and anticipates the future.

This season marks the tenth season of Vytal Movement Dance. The evening will feature six special pieces from the past ten years highlighting past collaborations with local choreographers, composers, and musicians. The evening will also feature the premiere of two new works including a new piece choreographed by Jess Berto, Artistic Director of Andiamo Dance in Ketchikan, Alaska.

This concert will also be the directorial swan song for Artistic Director Lexie Powell. Since stepping into the role in 2023, Lexie has led the company through a time of great growth and change. With clarity of vision and a focus on collaboration, she has created new opportunities for company artists as well as welcoming guest artists from within Spokane’s growing dance community and beyond. Please join us as we thank Lexie for all she has given to the Vytal community and welcome incoming Interim Artistic Director Mandy Scheffler!

Spokane Humane Society’s 23rd annual Parade of Paws, brought to you by VCA Animal Hospitals, is on May 30, 2026. A fun-packed 1-2 mile walk to raise funds in support of the SHS animals awaiting their forever homes. Bring your kiddos and fur babies, enjoy music, food & drinks, and vendor fair. Located at our main shelter 6607 N Havana, we would love for you to show up and join the fun!

Join us at Terrain Gallery for ‘The Table Is Set’, a unique art show by Liv Hebert Watkins, honoring the everyday people, objects, and rituals in life. The central aspect of this concept is the dinner table– a space where individuals gather and interact as a whole; despite differences in background, culture, language or family ties. There is beauty in the simple act of gathering, sharing a warm drink, eating food, and sitting together. Combining iconographic halos with commonplace faces and objects, Liv explores the beauty and divinity of the ordinary.
