Season 8, Episode 23: Men in Charge--the Time Capsule

After painstakingly engineering their entire eighth season to alternate between two sketch-based episodes, then one radio play, Tony and Kevin finally give in to the exigencies of broadcasting from a bunker and a sewer, respectively. There was only one sketch-based episode since the last radio play, and damn if there isn't another full-length play this week! Our story begins in the all-too-distant future, when an archaeological dig by some weird, post-human species uncovers the Men in Charge Time Capsule. Unaccountably, an old nemesis of the same Men in Charge, Olduvai George, finds a way to ride the radio waves back through time to drop in on two gripping sketches.  First, it's a return to the postmodern flummery of "Top Secret Hotel," with "Top Secret Hotel: the Movie: the Readers’ Digest Condensed Novelization: the Radio Adaptation: Stevedores of fear!" Count the coffins! Then it's the return of the Icelandic Rescue Rangers, who head to the US-Mexico border to  prove that "walls don't work" and generally spread Nordic moral righteousness--if Bibi Bunch and ICE Officer Coors don't get in the way. Will Olduvai George have his revenge on the two radio pioneers? If your view of the correct reference of words is loose enough, listener, he will!
