Always on the first Friday in October, Terrain is an annual, one-night-only, juried multimedia art and music event celebrating artists in the Spokane region.
Featuring new works by HUNDREDS of artists, and attracting thousands of attendees, it’s a celebration of new energy and fresh ideas from all over the artistic spectrum. From painting to poetry to interactive art and film, we try to showcase a little of everything that’s making the Inland Northwest a more vibrant, cultural, and beautiful place to live.
Now in its 16th year, Terrain isn’t just our flagship event—it’s become a cultural cornerstone and a seminal focal point in the life, work, and careers of thousands of local artists throughout the years—and has pushed Spokane to both consume and think about art differently.
In addition to the arts, event goers can enjoy live music, a themed photo booth, food trucks, local brews, wine and mocktails.
Please join us in this special group show that unveils the enchanting and bewitching beauty of this season. We will be showing artwork from over 70+ local and NW Artist's, from paintings, to sculpture, to fiber arts, ceramics and mosaic work.
We’re writing a love letter to the art of dance and the diverse voices that bring it to life, and we invite you to join us.
With Love From is an evening of professional contemporary dance featuring choreographic works by three artists from across the Western United States. As Vytal Movement Dance's first-ever concert dedicated to showcasing the work of guest artists, this performance is a heartfelt celebration of creativity, collaboration, and connection.
The evening will highlight the incredible work of guest choreographers Lexi Dysart from Southern California and Belle Baggs from North Idaho, along with a revival of a captivating piece by Vytal Movement’s Artistic Director Lexie Powell, performed for the first time in ten years.
Join us for an evening that honors movement, creative narrative, and the many voices shaping today’s dance landscape.
With Love From,
Vytal Movement Dance

These plantings have been a regular occurrence on the refuge for the past two decades. Unlike previous years’ events, which have focused on restoration efforts along the Pine Creek drainage adjacent to Refuge Headquarters, this year’s event is taking place in the Jolly Jack unit of the refuge, located off Cheney-Spangle Road.
