We exist in a moment of over-stimulation and information saturation, a moment where a short descriptive paragraph can create a beautiful, sparkling image for us, but then be quickly forgotten and dissolved back into the ether of the internet. These bits of data are reassembled into images or video, which can be visually interesting, but a bit disconcerting at times. This work is a playful way to make commentary on the serious questions about AI art. Using very simple pre-programmed vacuuming/mopping robots with some minimal modifications I wrangle the robots to produce something visually interesting. The catch is, just like AI, these robots cannot do it on their own. They need input and a lot of help from a person to make the art.

CBCT® (Cognitively Based Compassion Training) is a secular course to help individuals cultivate greater resilience, compassion, and well-being. It is drawn from the ancient Tibetan Buddhist practice of lojong (mind-training), combined with contemporary insights from neuroscience, evolutionary psychology, and emotion science.

From the evolution of the finisher shirt to the poster art of legendary artist Ken Spiering, this exhibit celebrates the creativity and community spirit that moves us all. Come relive the memories and feel the pulse of five decades of Bloomsday.

Spring for Hope is our annual fundraising and awareness event set on the anniversary of our inception in 2016. Our mission is not easy, but it is crucial. FailSafe for Life is a Spokane non-profit with the mission to help prevent and ultimately end suicide in our community. This event allows the funds to provide area trainings and education to professionals, parents, and community members. We focus on suicide prevention, warning signs, and resources through community involvement. Education and training is vital in order to save lives.

The Spring for Hope Anniversary Auction kicks off on Monday April 20th with a virtual silent auction. It closes Friday April 24th, 2026, at the Centennial Ballroom - Spokane Convention Center, where we will commemorate the 10th Anniversary of FailSafe for Life. James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim take everyone’s favorite storybook characters and bring them together for a timeless, yet relevant, piece… and a rare modern classic. The Tony Award-winning book and score are both enchanting and touching.

The story follows a Baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King’s Festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch’s curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone’s wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results.

“Treasure Island” is a fast-paced, family-friendly adaptation of this classic adventure tale by Robert Louis Stevenson. Packed with swashbuckling action, colorful characters, and imaginative staging, this Prince Street Version brings pirates, hidden treasure, and high-seas excitement to life in a playful, accessible way that is perfect for audiences of all ages. This musical runs April 10 to 26 – Fridays at 7 pm / Saturdays and Sundays at 2:00 pm. The ASL Interpreted performance is April 12, at 2:00 pm, and the Family Value Night on April 18, at 7:00 pm.

Fahrenheit 451 is the temperature at which paper ignites. With simple sets and uncomplicated staging, this powerful drama is about the inner struggle of Guy Montag, a fireman. Montag has worked as a civil servant for ten years burning books, but lately he has become increasingly unsure about what he is doing and about his vegetable-like existence. It is not until he meets 16-year-old Clarisse, who is filled with strange ideas, that he is led into a dangerous and highly combustible situation. Now he must choose between continuing his nonexistent existence and risking everything for the right to think.​

One of Sondheim’s most popular works, Into the Woods is a musically sophisticated show with the opportunity to feature actors adept at dark comedy. Designers will especially enjoy highlighting the fantastical elements of this magical word.

After a long and successful career as a mystery writer spanning nearly 50 years, William Kasinski has hit a protracted and unsettling fallow period. Does this mark a temporary setback or the end of his professional work life? At his agent’s insistence, Kasinski agrees to attempt a memoir in hopes of reigniting his career, and to this end, returns to his hometown to revisit his beginnings. Once there, triggered by an encounter with an up-and-coming Young Adult novelist, William must reckon with long-ignored events of his youth, and their impact on his journey.
