“Treasure Island” is a fast-paced, family-friendly adaptation of this classic adventure tale by Robert Louis Stevenson. Packed with swashbuckling action, colorful characters, and imaginative staging, this Prince Street Version brings pirates, hidden treasure, and high-seas excitement to life in a playful, accessible way that is perfect for audiences of all ages. This musical runs April 10 to 26 – Fridays at 7 pm / Saturdays and Sundays at 2:00 pm. The ASL Interpreted performance is April 12, at 2:00 pm, and the Family Value Night on April 18, at 7:00 pm.

Censorship & Defiance
Fahrenheit 451 is the temperature at which paper ignites. With simple sets and uncomplicated staging, this powerful drama is about the inner struggle of Guy Montag, a fireman. Montag has worked as a civil servant for ten years burning books, but lately he has become increasingly unsure about what he is doing and about his vegetable-like existence. It is not until he meets 16-year-old Clarisse, who is filled with strange ideas, that he is led into a dangerous and highly combustible situation. Now he must choose between continuing his nonexistent existence and risking everything for the right to think.​

The Mountain Harmony Show Choir and Northwoods Performing Arts present their annual youth show, this year entitled "High School Musical, Jr." Under the direction of Nina Pletsch, "High School Musical" features two popular teens auditioning for East High's Spring musical and is a nostalgic romp as they navigate the ins and outs of high school drama. Performances are scheduled on Apr. 16-18 and Apr. 23-25.

James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim take everyone’s favorite storybook characters and bring them together for a timeless, yet relevant, piece… and a rare modern classic. The Tony Award-winning book and score are both enchanting and touching.

The story follows a Baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King’s Festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch’s curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone’s wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results.

One of Sondheim’s most popular works, Into the Woods is a musically sophisticated show with the opportunity to feature actors adept at dark comedy. Designers will especially enjoy highlighting the fantastical elements of this magical word.

After a long and successful career as a mystery writer spanning nearly 50 years, William Kasinski has hit a protracted and unsettling fallow period. Does this mark a temporary setback or the end of his professional work life? At his agent’s insistence, Kasinski agrees to attempt a memoir in hopes of reigniting his career, and to this end, returns to his hometown to revisit his beginnings. Once there, triggered by an encounter with an up-and-coming Young Adult novelist, William must reckon with long-ignored events of his youth, and their impact on his journey.

Gayle Havercroft is displaying his unique block printing pieces at Indaba Coffee Shop through April and May. He's been perfecting his skills since 2001 and especially enjoys using the Palouse as inspiration for many of his works. Gayle began adding watercolor to the block prints a few years ago. Turnbull NWR and The Lands Council are excited to announce Earth Fest 2026.

Join us for an unforgettable morning of hands-on environmental action! Volunteers will have the chance to pot trees in our nursery, remove old fences, and participate in a forestry project, all to help preserve the beauty of this special place. When the work is done, tour a pop-up vendor fair featuring over 20 of the region's outdoor and environmental organizations, nonprofits, and agencies!

There will be several information and educational booths from partners such as Spokane Audubon, Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife, Washington State Parks, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, and more!

The event will conclude with a guided hike by special keynote presentation by local author and naturalist Jack Nisbet.

A lunch of burgers and hot dogs is generously being provided by the Friends of Turnbull NWR.

On April 25, 2026, The Rosarium Garden Center will be open from 10 AM to 4 PM, featuring 16 local artists showcasing original art, crafts, and handmade goods.

Stroll through the stunning greenhouse and gardens at The Rosarium while exploring the latest work from the talented art collective Slightly West of Spokane.

Discover handcrafted paintings, pottery, jewelry, knives, and textiles available for purchase, with artist booths thoughtfully placed throughout the gardens.
