Nature Day at Lincoln Park Spokane Urban Nature is sponsoring a half day of nature education and park appreciation at Lincoln Park on Saturday, May 11 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Because of limited parking we ask that people park on the north side of the park, 2300 E 17th Ave, Spokane, WA. This is a neighborhood event to help those who live near and those who walk the park to learn more about the plants, birds, and nearby habitat. There will be nature walks led by birdwatchers, plant experts, and friends of Lincoln Park. There will be a park clean up where volunteers can help with trash collection (gloves and bags provided). The greeters for the event will be in lower Lincoln Park at an information table. Come and meet up with your neighbors and fellow nature lovers for a walk around the park. Group walks will be organized with groups of 10 or less. First come, first walking. No reservations required. Spokane Urban Nature is an ad hoc community group advocating for natural lands within the urban core. For more information: Spokane Urban Nature is on Facebook or you can email SpokaneSun@gmail.com
