The 2026 North Idaho Film Festival, marking its 3rd season, is more than just a celebration of independent cinema. It’s a platform that strengthens the cultural impact on a local and national level by providing opportunities for networking, exposure, and a vibrant community for filmmakers and film lovers, both local and abroad. This year's festival highlights a diverse selection of film, from documentaries to narratives, short films and feature lengths, alike. Join us for a great weekend of film and community!

If you want to rage out and turn this season into an eventful alternative bonanza, here's your opportunity to witness the most thrilling act in the circuit! "For King and Country" brings a top notch showdown across the US this fall as they serve a thrilling new tour! This time, a new album brings different vibes and For King And Country is slated to promote this incredible work in Spokane, Washington! The Grammy-winning Australian duo of brothers Joel and Luke Smallbone brings The Most Beautiful Colours Tour to this city and they're ready to light up First Interstate Center for the Arts with their smashing hits including "God Only Knows," "Burn the Ships," and songs from their forthcoming album The Most Beautiful Colours!

Fern Spores is a femme-folk-rock band rooted in Olympia, WA. Drawing inspiration from musical giants like Janis Joplin, Alabama Shakes, Susan Tedeschi, and The Runaways, Fern Spores infuse their music with a modern edge while paying homage to the raw energy of their predecessors. Gracefully flowing between vintage psych folk, garage rock, clever covers, and soulful Americana ballads they curate a truly original sound. Angsty but uplifting, whimsical yet fierce, and as rock as it is roll. They serve up anthems of empowerment with a sprinkle of sapphic longing and a side of revolt.

Betsy Rogue:
Leading with vocal harmonies, instrumental versatility, and string arrangements, Spokane trio Betsy Rogue mixes a nineties folk-pop sensibility with a strong string section and Americana storytelling—like a fusion of The Chicks and Ani Difranco.

Recorded at J Bones Musicland in Spokane, WA, Love or Fear is the band's debut album release. This collection of seven songs showcases Betsy Rogue's ability to harness a spectrum of sound. From anthems that protest the patriarchy to songs that imagine an easier world, this album underscores the trio's strings, lyrical messaging, and cohesive harmonies.

Summerache: GirlBoy Punk Rock

Alick is lost in the underground of an amusement park in 1963 where he meets a cast of strange characters including a washed-up old princess and a sarcastic donkey. He embarks on a journey through the dark underbelly and discovers who he is.

At Happy Happy Valley amusement park, Alick loses his way into the tunnels beneath the attractions and enters a decaying wonderland inhabited by a washed-up princess, a hapless cowboy, a sarcastic donkey, and other quirky characters. Darkly comic, surreal, and unexpectedly tender, MAD UNDERGROUND follows a child’s journey through illusion, confusion, and identity, and a mother’s struggle to see the child who has been beside her all along for who she is.

The members of the Spokane Watercolor Society display their diverse styles in this exceptional show juried by area artist, Linda Hyatt-Cancel. Awards in excess of $700 will be given at the First Friday Opening Reception on September 4, 5:00-8:00 p.m. where you can meet this talented group of water media artists. This is a wonderful FREE "family and friends" activity.

The Whitworth University Art & Design Department and the university’s Bryan Oliver Gallery are proud to present works on paper by Richard Kenton Webb. Please visit the exhibit between Sept. 15 and Oct. 29, 2026, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, or at one of the following events:

This exhibit features three suites of works on paper spanning seven years. The linocuts form part of a larger conversation with John Milton’s epic poem, Paradise Lost. This body of work led to a commission from The Milton Society of America to respond to John Milton’s poem Lycidas. Finally, Webb took up the prestigious artist in residency at the Joseph and Annie Albers Foundation where he completed a series of 72 drawings, the start of his Manifesto of Painting. This is a small selection of that set of work.

Siemers Farm on Green Bluff is having their annual Fall Festival, where there's fun for all. We're not like most pumpkin patches! You'll find FREE parking complete with crossing guards; and a day FULL of activities. There are surprises around every corner along with free line dancing lessons, interactive shows plus catch pirate and princess characters around the farm. We're home to Washington State's first and oldest funning corn and hedge mazes that lead to the 3-story castle, and the train tour around the farm is a staple here. Little ones enjoy the life-size pirate ship playground and Little Toot bucket ride. In the pumpkin patch you'll find delights that will make you smile such as "town" themed destinations to explore with games, tractors, and family photo stations! September festival dates are free entry and FUN Wristband is optional. Come make a day of it, you absolutely will not be disappointed.
