The Spokane Watercolor Society's annual Juried National Show had entries from across the nation. Juried by National Award-Winning Artist, David R. Smith, over $1500 in cash and product awards will be presented at the Awards Reception on May 16 from 10:30-Noon. Admission is free to the Helen South Alexander Gallery (annex) and it is a great "friends and family" activity.

The Lilac City Voices Barbershop Chorus will have their Spring Show on June 5 at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church 5720 S Perry featuring the chorus, quartets and quests.

The Spokane Folklore Society and the friends of Coeur d'Alene Public Library host the Coeur d'Alene Sunday Matinee Contra Dance on June 7 at the Coeur d'Alene Public Library starting at 2PM. Susan Dankovich will teach easy to learn dances with live music by Arvid Lundin and Deep Roots. Everyone is welcomed. Singles, partners, and older families.
