How do we keep our artistic enthusiasm alive? With Artistic Fresh Air! The Spokane Watercolor Society was founded in 1952 by a group of 12 professional artists. Our new SWS members have given us a breath of fresh air — Artistic Fresh Air. This exhibit is to showcase their talents and honor their contribution to the SWS. Stop by the Liberty Gallery in the Historic Liberty Building at 203 N. Washington St this June to see their work ~ stop by the First Friday Reception on June 5 from 5-8pm to meet the artists!
Sherry Syrie is a mixed media artist and middle school art educator who is currently exploring abstract mixed media landscapes. She finds interesting images & materials to piece together in unique ways to create clean, beautiful, and original pieces.
Suzan LeDoux is a printmaker whose work is primarily inspired by the natural world and the beauty of flora & fauna. Through carving, she aims to capture the textures we observe in nature, and the intricate details that often go unnoticed.

The Gallery Entropy (101 N Stevens) presents Objets Vibrant: The Te of Trash. A solo exhibition by Dario Ré that explores material animacy through found art and assemblage. Show runs through June 29.
For the 24th year, Street Music will take place June 8-12, from noon to 1 p.m. in downtown Coeur d’Alene and downtown Spokane. Musicians are invited to perform and collect donations. All of the donations go to support the Second Harvest Food Bank, which has received over $396,000 from the past 23 years of Street Music! Musicians of all levels are invited to play. Simply show up at 11:30 a.m. at The Art Spirit Gallery, 415 E. Sherman Avenue, get a donation bucket and pick a spot in which to share your music. At 1 p.m., return the bucket to the Art Spirit Gallery. In the past, performances have included Coeurimba, Terry Jones’ brass quintet, string musicians from the Church of Christ Friday night jam session, violinists, guitarists, bluegrass and jazz groups and more! The Spokane Watercolor Society's annual Juried National Show had entries from across the nation. Juried by National Award-Winning Artist, David R. Smith, over $1500 in cash and product awards will be presented at the Awards Reception on May 16 from 2:30-5:00 p.m. Admission is free to the Helen South Alexander Gallery (annex) and it is a great "friends and family" activity.
