The Moscow Mules of Moscow, Idaho, play an eclectic mix of high-energy acoustic music. Their music spans the spectrum from traditional bluegrass, to contemporary jamgrass, to bluegrass-powered arrangements of timeless rock songs, and beyond. The Mules are renowned throughout the Inland Northwest.The trio consists of Sean Long on guitar, Paul Hohenlohe on banjo and dobro, and Elias Paxton on upright bass.

The Spokane Folklore Society hosts its second Saturday contra dance on May 11 at the East Spokane Grange starting at 7:00PM. Callers Joseph Erhard-Hudson and Abigail Rausch from Moscow will teach easy to learn contra dances with live music from Reel Friends. No experience is necessary. These community dances are fun. No partner is required. Dress casual. General admission is $10 and for SFS members $7. Kids under 18 are free. Plenty of parking at the grange located at 1621 North Park.

The Spokane String Quartet concludes its 2023-24 season with a concert featuring music by Joseph Haydn, Benjamin Britten and Edward Elgar. The concert opens with Haydn’s String Quartet in C Major, Op. 20, No. 2, and Britten’s 3 Divertimenti for String Quartet (1933). After the intermission the concert concludes with Elgar’s String Quartet in E Minor, Op. 83. All seats are general admission and are available through TicketsWest or at the door. Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for seniors and free for persons under 18 and students with ID.

Carl Rey and Truck Mills have been performing together in the Inland-Northwest region in clubs and music festivals for over 18 years. Both are consummate performers and masters of their instruments.
