Austrian organist Lukas Hasler presents a recital on the newly renovated Aeolian-Skinner pipe organ of the Cathedral of Saint John the Evangelist. This program is the first of 2025-2026, celebrating the 80th season of the American Guild of Organists – Spokane Chapter.
Hasler is well-known around the world to audiences of all ages. He has more than 100,000 followers on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. He comes to Spokane fresh from recording his most recent CD at Musikverien in Vienna.

The SSQ opens its 46th season with guest artist Julia Pyke, principal flute for the Spokane Symphony. Last fall she was featured soloist when the Symphony performed Christopher Rouse’s Flute Concerto. The program includes Gabriela Smith's "Porcupine Wash," Amy Beach's Theme and Variations for Flute and Strings, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Flute Quartet No. 1 in D Major, K.285, and Carl Nielsen's String Quartet No. 1 in G Minor, Op. 13.

A live whimsical, transcendent, mesmerizing and enchanting string and percussion instruments performance from the classical arts of India with sarod, santoor and tabla.Sarod is a captivating Indian classical instrument known for its deep resonant notes. The santoor is an ancient instrument that originated in Iraq, Iran, and India. The santoor (In ancient Sanskrit texts, it was called the Shatha Tantri Veena, or Veena of a Hundred Strings)The earliest evidence of the santoor comes from Babylonian and Assyrian stone carvings from around 669 BCE.
A tabla is a pair of hand drums from the Indian subcontinent. Blend of these traditional instruments will make the Jugalbandi, a special concert.

American Guild of Organists chapter members present a concert of meditative and exciting organ music on the St. Mark’s Lutheran Church pipe organ built by Zimmer & Sons. This program is the second of 2025-2026, celebrating the 80th season of the American Guild of Organists – Spokane Chapter.
